Winterbourne Boys' Academy leading the way in performance

Winterbourne Boys' Academy has today been officially recognised as the most improved school in Croydon and one of the schools leading the way in performance.

After an analysis of the SATs test results of Croydon schools, we were identified as the most improved school with 96% of pupils achieving a level 4 (national standard) or above in the core subjects, reading, writing and maths - an increase of 40%. 

These were according to figures published by the Department for Education (DfE).

Our Headteacher, Ms Smith, said: "I am extremely proud of our pupils. This is a result of tremendous hard work and commitment from our pupils and staff. We have very high expectations and we believed that our pupils could achieve such outstanding results. Our pupils believed too. Attitude determines altitude so there is no limit to what we can achieve."
