New library at Winterbourne

We are pleased that our new library is now fully operational, complete with new stock and new furnishings. 

Pupils have so far enjoyed spending time reading in this new quiet and inviting area. 

Every class is allocated a library session where they can access books of their choice. Pupils are issued with library cards to monitor reading. 

A Library Club is held weekly during lunch time to allow children extra reading opportunities. Pupils also have access to laptops where they can use Bug Club, an online reading resource that is proving to be very popular. 

In January, plans are in place for an exciting Book Week where a well-known author, Jack Trelawny, will be visiting us to meet pupils and talk about literacy, his work and career.
