New Latin classes at Winterbourne

We are delighted that we have been able to introduce Latin extra-curricular classes for our pupils this year. 

Latin is a highly intellectual, ancient language still used in the creation of new words in the modern languages of today, including English. It is a unique and sophisticated language which tests and stretches pupils' linguistic abilities.

Our first Latin classes started this term. Our pupil, Ryan Papazov (Year 4), said: "Learning Latin has been very interesting. I think it will be useful and help me in different ways in the future."
