Winterbourne Boys' Academy is a junior school for boys aged 7-11 years.  It is a member school of the Platanos Trust, an ambitious and thriving community of schools.

We have an unshakeable belief in all of our pupils and we firmly believe in our motto that Attitude Determines Altitude. We expect all pupils to be aspirational and to achieve beyond their expectations regardless of their background, starting point or needs.

Winterbourne Boys' Academy was graded a 'Good' school in its first Ofsted inspection in 2017. Ofsted praised the school for its quality of teaching and learning, and commended pupils for their behaviour, respect for each other and courteousness.

We are proud of the strong partnership that we have developed with our parents/carers, the local community and partner organisations, with the common goal of providing an outstanding education to all of our pupils.

An inclusive school for pupils of all abilities

Winterbourne Boys' Academy is an inclusive school and caters for pupils of all abilities. Pupils at the school are part of an inspirational learning environment. Since joining the Platanos Trust, we have seen a rapid improvement in pupils' achievement and we aim to ensure that all pupils at Winterbourne Boys' Academy develop into well-rounded individuals and citizens of the modern world.
